Title: Application for United States Flag for Burial Purposes (VA Form 27-2008).
OMB Control Number: 2900-0013.
Type of Review: Extension of a currently approved collection.
Abstract: VA Form 27-2008 is used for family members and/or next-of-kin to apply for a burial flag.
An agency may not conduct or sponsor, and a person is not required to respond to a collection of information unless it displays a currently valid OMB control number. The Federal Register Notice with a 60-day comment period soliciting comments on this collection of information was published at 82 FR 195 on October 11, 2017, page 47325.
Affected Public: Individuals or Households.
Estimated Annual Burden: 162,500.
Estimated Average Burden per Respondent: 15 minutes.
Frequency of Response: One time per family of deceased Veteran.
Estimated Number of Respondents: 650,000.
