On May 1, 2014, NYSE Arca, Inc. filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission ("Commission"), pursuant to Section 19(b)(1) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 ("Act")1and Rule 19b-4 thereunder,2a proposed rule change to list and trade shares of the PIMCO Income Exchange-Traded Fund under NYSE Arca Equities Rule 8.600. The proposed rule change was published for comment in the Federal Register on May 21, 2014.3On June 24, 2014, the Commission designated a longer period within which to approve the proposed rule change, disapprove the proposed rule change, or institute proceedings to determine whether to disapprove the proposed rule change.4On August 19, 2014, the Commission instituted proceedings under Section 19(b)(2)(B) of the Act5to determine whether to approve or disapprove the proposed rule change.6On November 14, 2014, the Commission issued a notice of designation of longer period for Commission action on proceedings to determine whether to approve or disapprove the proposed rule change.7The Commission received no comments on the proposed rule change. On December 2, 2014, the Exchange withdrew the proposed rule change (SR-NYSEArca-2014-56).
