SUMMARY:

The FAA invites public comments about our intention to request the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) to approve a current information collection. Title 49 U.S.C. Sections 47702 and 44703 authorize the issuance of airman certificates. FAR part 65 prescribes requirements for mechanics, repairmen, parachute riggers, and inspection authorizations.

OMB Control Number: 2120-0022.

Affected Public: A total of 38,441 respondents.

Frequency: The information is collected on occasion.

Estimated Average Burden per Response: Approximately 50 minutes per response.

Estimated Annual Burden Hours: An estimated 33,028 hours annually.

Abstract: Title 49 U.S.C. Sections 44702 and 44703 authorize the issuance of airman certificates. FAR part 65 prescribes requirements for mechanics, repairmen, parachute riggers, and inspection authorizations. The information collected shows applicant eligibility for certification.
