AGENCY:

Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

ACTION:

Notice; extension of public comment period.

SUMMARY:

Pursuant to section 6(f)(1) of the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA), as amended, EPA issued a notice of receipt of requests from registrants of affected chromated copper arsenate (CCA) products to cancel certain products and to amend to terminate certain uses of other CCA products. In the notice published on February 22, 2002, the Agency provided a 30-day comment period that expires on March 25, 2002. In a letter submitted on behalf of Elementis PLC and dated March 11, 2002, an extension of the period for submission of public comments was requested. After due consideration of the registrant's request, the Agency, by this notice, is hereby announcing that the deadline for submitting comments is extended from March 25, 2002, to April 9, 2002.

Comments on the matters announced in the February 22, 2002 Federal Register notice must be received on or before April 9, 2002.
