ACTION:
Notice of public meetings.
SUMMARY:
The North Pacific Fishery Management Council'sGulf of Alaska and Bering Sea/Aleutian Islands groundfish planteams will meet in Seattle.
DATES:
The meetings will be held on September 13-15,2000. The meetings will begin at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, September13, and continue through Friday September 15.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION:
The plan teams will reviewavailable stock assessments and catch statistics for Gulf ofAlaska and Bering Sea/Aleutian Islands groundfish fisheries andprepare preliminary stock assessment documents, includingeconomic and ecosystem considerations, for the 2001 groundfishfisheries.
Although non-emergency issues may come before this Councilfor discussion, in accordance with the Magnuson-Stevens FisheryConservation and Management Act, those issues may not be thesubject of formal Council action during this meeting. Councilaction will be restricted to those issues specifically listed inthis notice and any issues arising after publication of thisnotice that require emergency action under section 305(c) of theMagnuson-Stevens Act, provided the public has been notified ofthe Council's intent to take final action to address theemergency.
